Here are some third party 3 column New Blogger templates (my favorite). There may be some (very rare) 2 column ones, I can't remember:
New Blogger template modified by Stavanger
Dots New Blogger template with Header
New Blogger templates modified by Ramani
New Blogger templates by Isnaini
New Blogger templates by Thur
Ramani's New Blogger Neo template
New Blogger template by Final Sense
New Blogger templates by BloggerBuster
3 column New Blogger template for publishing large photo, scroll box, tables, etc. modified by Stavanger
All of them have been tested and have demonstration (test) blogs. There are more to come when I get the time to add them. This post will be edited as I keep on adding more templates.
Use Custom search above and/or Labels in right sidebar to find topics.

Dear Peter, I've been following your blogs and find it really helpful. I tried using the 3 column blog and also the code to make adsense appear in my blog posts, and have published my blog now for nearly a month now. But I cannot find my blog on google, even when I use google blog search. Could this be due to any of the unique coding either from the 3 column type or the adsense appearing in the blog posts? My blog is at http://fyi-penang.blogspot.com
And ideas/advice?
PS- I have done all the optimization tips, submitted my url to google, ping technorati etc.
Have a look at How to get indexed by Google and other search engines and Fastest way to get indexed by search engines
Plus note that even without doing all the above, your blog will eventually be indexed, but your ranking so low that it may appear in the 150th page of the SERP (search engine result page) and unless someone likes to click "next" patiently, I don't think anyone will see that link to your blog.
If you don't see a post in Blogger FAQ on how to get indexed and how to increase link popularity and search engine visibility in the near future, remind me by commenting.

I've read some of your stuff and found it very helpful as well. I finally found a 3 column code that I'm happy with, with one exception. The 1st post stretches past all things in my left columns before it will repeat. I would really like to be able to figure out how to make the posts repeat immediately regardless of the length of items found in the other columns. Any idea how to help me?
I have a comp sci degree but have very little experience with HTML/XML.
Thanks
Hi Healthy Bratt,
Glad to see that "Healthy" word and glad you have an extra t in "Bratt". Plus thanks for the kind words.
Regarding your question, please refer to expandable post summary for New Blogger. This post has received good comments including a few that said they got frustrated with the one in Blogger Help pages itself and mine was easy to follow and implement. One in fact said he tried to follow the instructions there a few times and failed and followed mine and succeeded the first time.

Blogger Dough
(Blogging helped my put 2 sons through college on my pension and if not for blogging, I would have been in financial difficulties. We want to help you do the same)
Thank you for your prompt response. I read it and implemented it as I like the idea; however, I'm not sure I made my original question clear. If you look at my blog page, you will notice a short paragraph I have blogged. Then in order to see the comments, date line, etc, you have to scroll all the way down until you reach the end of my archives, widgets and links in the other two columns. It's been "stretched" somehow and I'd like to "unstretch" it. KWIM? I don't want all that extra space between the end of my blog entry and the notation lines at the bottom.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer and thanks for the other stuff too. I think I'll use it as well.

Hi Healthy Bratt,
A screen shot showing what is the problem and what you want will be helpful. See

Wow, thanks for being so helpful. I uploaded a couple of screen shots on my current post for you to look at. I think when you see them, it will be pretty self explanatory.
Thanks again for being so prompt and attentive.

Hi Healthy Bratt,
You will have to give us the URL of the post where you upload the screen shots.

Sure thing. Sorry about that.

Thanks for stopping by and helping me with my code. :D
Hi Healthy Bratt,
Thanks for the screen shots. However, the images are too small for me to figure out what they are, although I suspect they are AdSense Skyscraper units. However, the text are too small to be seen. BTW did you upload the screen shots in the COMPOSE mode and moved them around by dragging and dropping?
And for health, perhaps you can give me some ideas as to what to put in the blogs in the signature line:

Okay, I'll take another look at your how to's on the screen shots.
As far as health...I happen to be the moderator of a great health forum.
I have a banner at the bottom of my blog and the direct address is
www.welltellme.com.
I get most of my good info there and in my kitchen.

I added two more screen shots to my current blog.
They are clickable thumbnails as a full screenshot took up too much room in the single column of the post. Hope this works for you.
Click on the thumbnail. Then click on the image to enlarge for more detail.

Sorry, Health Bratt,
Still can't read the text properly, but at least I can see they are not Google Ads. You have 2 choices:
1. Post your script to display those stuff somewhere. If it involve HTML, make sure you use special character to display them properly and probably a scroll box to put them in in case there are long, unbroken lines in it.
2. Contact the creator of those stuff that is giving you the problem

Environmentally friendly presents
I put the ads in column 1&2 myself. Column 3 is the problem. Code has been inserted to stretch column 3. I'd like to find the code to eliminate the "stretch". The red arrow shows what appear onscreen as extra "returns" but there are no returns inserted. It's hard coded in the skin somehow.
If you're not sure how to fix it, I'll just leave it, but thank you so much for looking at it anyway. I still like the code for the partial posts.
Thanks for your blog. I've found it helpful for many other coding issues.
~hb
PS The creator of the skin doesn't appear to speak English. :) The entire site is in a foreign language LOL.
Hi Healthy Bratt,
It is not I don't know how to fix it. Maybe I do, maybe I don't, but I don't even have a starting point. All I know is if you have more than 3 Google AdSense ad units on one page, you may have this problem and even Google may not be able to solve it for you except to remove the extra unit. As for the rest, I do not know as I do not know anything about them.

Successes with Kontera ContentLink
Thanks. I think I'm just not being clear with my question. It's not about the ads. There are no Google ads on my page that I'm aware of. I would imagine with your vast knowledge on blogging and code that you would most definitely know how to answer the question, if I only knew how to ask it. Therein lies the problem. LOL I'm not worried about it. I'm content to leave it as it sits, but if you truly want to investigate further, you should be able to read the text if you click on the following links (thumbnails from my post)
Screen Shot 1
Screen Shot 2
Then if you use the magnifier on your browser (if you have one) and click on the image to enlarge it again, you should be able to read it. This was the only way to make the screen shot fit into my blog post. The alternative would be to send it in an email. :)
I really do appreciate all the effort you've put into this, but it's not a life-changing event. Just a hobby. :D
Thanks again. Stop by anytime.
Also, you might notice, I've linked your feed to my site so that others might benefit from your wealth of knowledge on blogger.

Hi Healthy Bratt,
I have to say sorry. Even if I want to help, I don't know where to start for there is nothing in the screen shots to show what it is all about.
I am afraid without further information, you are on your own unless you can get help on whoever created what you put in your blog.

I'm looking for blank blogger templates 2 and 3 col. that are for commercial use. can you help?
hi kissedbypix,
what do you mean by blank and commercial?
I'm getting email notifications of comments on this post. Any idea why? It's never happened before.
hi healthy bratt,
either your Blogger account had been hacked or you would have to call in the Ghost Busters.
You have a very interesting and informative blog about blogger blogs. I thought wordpress was superb in layout and plugin, but once I have go thought your blog, seems that Blogger can do what wordpress do. Thanks a lot for the information.
